4,500 ACK Residents are Food Insecure and Need Lean Protein

  • Venison is High Protein, Low Fat
  • One ACK Deer = 100 Servings of Venison
  • 2,340 Deer = 1 serving per week per person

MassWildlife's Hunters Share the Harvest (HSH)

Allows hunters to donate and share venison with those in need while supporting forest conservation by utilizing hunting for deer population management

MassWildlife’s HSH Program Started in 2022. It Processes & Distributes Venison to Food Insecurity Programs, Including:

  • Pip & Anchor
  • Nourish Nantucket
  • Nantucket Food Pantry

2024 ACK HSH:

  • 45 Deer donated (3 antlered males, 42 does & yearlings)
  • 3,140 meals distributed
