About Us
The ACK Deer Management Project (ACKdeer) is a coalition of concerned Nantucket residents who recognize the danger of the enormous and rapidly growing deer herd on Nantucket and the significant food insecurity issue on the island. We seek to bring together a broad range of island constituencies and MassWildlife to lead the effort to research, develop and implement practical herd management solutions, educate residents and work to build consensus as to how to best address these problems.
