ACKdeer Welcomes Deer Hunters. Nantucket is a small island shared with hunters and many non-Hunters Please hunt ACK-Friendly.

ACK has few scavengers to clean-up gut piles. Please place all gut piles in composable bags, carcasses in heavy duty contractor bags, and drop in the gut bag / carcass dumpsters that are open 24/hours every day. Gut bags and carcasses ONLY – no other trash.

Harvest additional deer and donate to MassWildlife’s Hunters Share the Harvest Program. Your donations provide high-protein low-fat meals for Nantucket’s Food Insecure.

Be aware of properties closed to hunting and/or trespassing

Observe all Massachusetts hunting regulations including:

• No hunting within 500 feet of any dwelling or building in use, unless permitted in writing by the owner
• No Hunting within 150 feet of paved roads and bicycle paths
• No hunting on Sundays
• Wear your blaze orange during required times
